Camden Clog will be hosting a Workshop Day on Saturday 21st April 2012 at Cecil Sharp House in Camden, London.

We will be teaching four of Pat Tracey's dances. Thrales Rapper will also be running a workshop.

  • Beginners - Waltz.
This is a fun and easy waltz making it a perfect introduction for complete beginners to clog dancing. Clogs aren't necessary as hard soled shoes and a sense of humour will do. The tutor for this workshop will be Jo Evans.
  • Improvers - "B" Routine.
This is the second old heel and toe routine in the series. A brilliant dance if you've done some step-dancing before but have less experience of Pat Tracey's dances. The tutor will be Laurel Swift.
  • Intermediate - Mixed Rhythm.
This dance moves between three different styles and three very different rhythms, hornpipe, waltz and jig. The steps are of intermediate standard but the skill to this dance is the transitions. The tutor will be Kate Tattersall.
  • Advanced - Hornpipe 1.
A fantastic lively hornpipe very much in the East Lancashire style. The routine is full of fantastic rhythms and no part of the clog goes unused. The tutor will be Ru Rose.
  • Rapper.
Thrales Rapper were the overall winners of DART in 2010 as well as carrying off the "Joie de Vivre" prize. They will be teaching a workshop suitable for all levels of ability. They are the organisers of this years Dancing England Rapper Tournament.
